Artur and Phillipe are bored of the rain and sulking with each other accordingly.

Artur and Phillipe go vintage (with Snapseed)

Artur appreciates the technical skill and sheer audacity of the Saltburn Pier yarnbomber. Phillipe thinks he may be a little in love.

More here and here

Like everyone, Artur and Phillipe adore new bedding.

Artur likes to acquire new skills. Phillipe likes to watch.

Like most of the south of England, this morning Artur and Phillipe woke up to a pristine blanket of snow. They are not in the slightest bit tempted to set foot outside, far too fastidious (Artur) or lazy with just-woken warmth (Phillipe) to bother. Snow is for young people, Phillipe muses nostalgically. Artur hmms in agreement, silently thinking about his expensive pure alpaca coat rather than the fact that they are not yet old enough to be so nostalgic. Maybe later, he will send Phillipe outside on an errand. Just to see the chilled flush on his cheeks and the happy brightness in his eyes when he returns.

“Aye-aye, what’s this then,” Phillipe asks. “Pumpkin seeds and raisins,” says Artur. “Try some, they’re good for you. But don’t overdo it, mind. You know what you are like.”

“Hmm, not so sure darling. Looks a bit like dried-up grapes to me. What’s the point in that then?” Phillipe sneers. “Honestly, for someone so adventurous, you can be so picky,” Artur says, reaching for a handful of raisins. “Hurrumph,” says Phillipe.

“Oh,” Artur says after a while and clutches at his stomach. “Over-indulged, have we darling?” asks Phillipe innocently, not even opening his eyes. “Well, you know what you are like…”

“There, there, love. It’ll pass soon,” Phillipe says soothingly. Artur just closes his eyes and, uncharacteristically, allows Phillipe to pet him until the discomfort does indeed pass.

Taking an afternoon snooze and catching up on some sun…

Obviously, Artur and Phillipe are settling nicely in to their new home.

Artur and Phillipe journeyed many miles from the North of England to reach their new home in the South. Travelling via Royal Mail, cocooned together in cardboard and bubble-wrap, it could have been awkward. But Artur is nothing if not adaptable to circumstances. And Phillipe is a notorious cuddler.

On arrival in a new location, Artur is always the first to assess their surroundings. Scoping out the lay of the land is instinctive and occasionally life-saving behaviour. Aminekos like Artur and Phillipe never know where or when they will encounter an enemy or predator.

Once satisfied of their safety, he indulges Phillipe by watching over him as he recovers from their arduous postal adventure. This is uncharacteristic, but not unknown; Phillipe is a consummate charmer…
